Team Uganda: Safari Saturday

Safari day!

Last night we arrived at Murchison River Lodge. After we checked in we went to our rooms and got ready for dinner. We were a little late to dinner because we got locked in our room and had to adventure out the back of the cottage and into the wilderness… but we made it!! The dinner was delicious and the view of the Nile river was amazing. After dinner, we walked down to the bonfire and watched some authentic African music and dancing. We then headed to bed in our cozy cottages and tents.

We woke up at 5 am and heard hippos right outside! On our way across the Nile to go to our safari tour, we saw the most beautiful sunrise across the Nile. The safari was next and it was the most amazing experience. We got to see so many animals including giraffes, elephants, hippos, water buffalos, baboons, warthogs, hartebeests, monkeys and so many more. The lions were sleeping so we didn’t get to see any. We then had lunch and headed back to Masindi and had our celebration dinner full of food, laughter, music, and dancing. What an amazing end to such a great trip. This has definitely been an experience of a lifetime!!
