Team Uganda: Clinic Day 5

Wow, what an amazing week! It has flown by. While we are certainly tired, we are inspired by the amazing people of Uganda and our hearts are incredibly full.

We returned to the same village as Thursday for our final day of clinic. This was only a half day so we went in hoping to see at least 100 patients. We finished the day with having provided care for 182 patients. This brought our total number of patients for the week to 1,423! We could have never accomplished this without the incredible team we had. From registration to pharmacy distribution and everyone in between we poured our hearts out to serve these loving and beautiful people. Their gratitude for our service kept us going throughout the week. As one man said, “Thank you for loving us and loving Masindi”.

While having nurses and providers is essential, the incredible team of non-clinical support made us efficient and allowed us to treat more patients than we thought possible. We are incredibly grateful to all of you for your prayers and support throughout the week!

Tonight we are celebrating on the Nile River with a BBQ dinner, stunning sunset and authentic Ugandan dancing around the bonfire.
