Team Costa Rica: Clinic Day 2
“Hacer más.” Do more.
Our group is comprised of incredibly intelligent people from many different backgrounds and fields. We all left our comfort zones at home to come serve in Costa Rica because we felt the call to “hacer más.”
And today we did more! We saw more patients, we did more procedures, and we gave more prescriptions.
When we first arrived at the community center there was a fire growing rapidly behind the building. We were so lucky to have the firemen arrive swiftly so that we could begin setting up for the day!
The most valuable players have been our interpreters. Not only do they translate their words, but they translate the culture and feelings from the patients. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
We are so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the rest of the week!
