We drove to clinic with an understanding that today was our last day of this week’s mission to help the people of Uganda. We were intent on finishing our service with every bit of strength and love as we started with at the beginning of the week. One of our interpreters brought us mangoes, which we enjoyed for breakfast. We later were able to see her mother for treatment. A young boy was served by our therapy team and was given an adaptive chair. Our provider team was able to stitch up a young girl’s hand that was cut by a machete. The nursing students from Trident Tech assisted and provided comfort for the patient while she received her medical care. Our pharmacy team was busy dispensing medications until the last minute before we packed up. We will not forget the people we met and what it meant to work together to provide care and comfort to the beautiful people in Uganda.
